PORTALEZA
Full of mystery and bitter-sweet longing, Portaleza was an intimate response to the distance many of us experienced during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Creating an
at-home theater experience with the use of cellphones and clever packaging, Portaleza asks viewers to pierce the veil that separates us from a loved one.
Collaborating with Optika Moderna on the viewfinder packaging and logo design, the branding developed nods to celestial and angelic beings. The project also included the creation of the new typeface "Portaleza Angelic", a coded and otherworldly language.
